Beer is a beverage we all love. We crave for it on a hot summer day, it is the only drink we want at the end of a stressful day and when we’re happy, the moment seems incomplete without a glass of beer in hand. The high you get after a couple of beers is light and wonderful instead of heavy. However, there are plenty of misconceptions that make us believe that we should be staying away from beer. From the infamous beer belly to the fact that it is alcoholic in nature, there are multiple reasons we’re given in order to keep us away from our favourite drink. But what if we told you that beer is the drink you need?
We’re not the ones saying it. Science is. We looked up a couple of studies and found 11 reasons why beer is more than magical:

3. According to a study found in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, you could lower your risk of Alzheimer’s Disease, thanks to a compound found in beer.

4. A review published in the International Journal of Endocrinology found that beer is said to be good for increasing bone density which means that if you fall when you’re drunk, you’re less likely to be breaking bones if you’re a beer consumer.

5. Canadian researchers found that having one beer a day can reduce your chances of forming cataracts in your eyes by close to fifty per cent.

6. Research published in the American Journal of Epidemiology revealed that beer can reduce your chances of suffering from kidney stones. In fact, one bottle a day has been estimated to reduce the chances by forty per cent.

7. Beer can help your body fight diseases and stay healthy. We’re not the ones saying it. Oregon Health & Science University claims that moderate consumption of beer can be an immunity booster.
8. There’s a research published on the US National Library of Medicine that reveals that beer has excellent anti-inflammatory properties. The next time you think you need to pop a pill for inflammation, maybe just have a beer.
