So many are struggling for the most basic of needs amid the coronavirus pandemic.

To make it easy, firetrucks from the different volunteer companies will be driving up and down the neighborhood streets of Middle Township and ask that if you’re interested in making a donation, you leave the bag of non-perishable food items at the end of your driveway. This method was decided as the best way to collect donations while also maintaining safe social distancing practices.
A spokesperson for the organized food drive, John Menz of Middle Township, did confirm at all fiveĀ fire houses (Cape May Court House, Swainton, Goshen, Green Creek and Rio Grande) will all be participating. Donation collection will be underway between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 9th. If it happens to rain, it will be rescheduled to Sunday, May 10th.
Suggested donations include:
- Cereal
- Pasta
- Spaghetti Sauce
- Dry Milk
- Peanut Butter & Jelly
- Paper Products
