SPOKANE, Wash. – Feeling hungry? Good news — there are lots of great options in the Spokane area! Realtor.com recently ranked Spokane as one of the top 10 best ‘New Foodie Towns’ in America.
Spokane received the 9th place ranking in large part thanks to the Cork District, which boasts 15 wineries, all a stone’s throw from one another. The Kendall Yards Night Market is another highlight, with its food vendors, markets, and live performances.
Restaurants from Clover to Italia Trattoria bolster the city’s national ranking.
More than anything, Spokane is blessed by its median home price, according to the website. Windermere Real Estate broker Marianne Bornhoff says Spokane is “the best-kept secret that is getting out.” With agreeable prices on real estate, homeowners can afford to renovate, and then explore the quaint food scene in town.
Other cities on the list include Portland (Oregon), Houston, Charlotte, Detroit, Denver, New Orleans, Austin, Oklahoma City, and Minneapolis.
This isn’t, however, the first time Eastern Washington has found itself earning top marks in rankings like these. Recently, Pullman was ranked the best city in Washington to live in.
